How it works

How Nomadoro works: from first upload to a 3‑year residence permit

Five steps. Software moves fast where speed is safe, and people sign off where judgment matters.

  1. 01 · Step 1: Plan

Answer a few questions. Get a checklist built for your case.

Tell us how you work, where your income comes from, your nationality and who's moving with you. Nomadoro's reasoning engine checks your eligibility and builds a personal checklist from current UGE requirements.

    • Only the documents your case needs

The problem

Why Spain visa applications stall

The requirements aren't secret. They're scattered across consulates, ministries, forums and old blog posts, and a single mismatch sends your file back to the start.

  1. 01

    Expired background check

    Caught before you file

Documents that expire before you file

Criminal record certificates are usually only accepted for about three months, and they take weeks to get apostilled. Nomadoro tracks every issue date and tells you what to order first, so nothing goes stale while you wait for the rest.

  2. 02

    Missing apostille

    Caught before you file

    Apostilles and sworn translations

Foreign public documents need an apostille or legalization, and anything not in Spanish needs a sworn translation (traducción jurada). Our AI flags which of your documents need which, and a reviewer confirms it.

  3. 03

    Income below threshold

    Caught before you file

    Income and contract details

You must earn at least 200% of Spain's minimum wage, plus more for each family member. Freelancers can earn no more than 20% from Spanish clients. We do the math from your real contracts and invoices.

  4. 04

    Advice from 2022

    Caught before you file

    Outdated advice

Forums and old blog posts quote rules that have since changed. Your checklist follows current UGE requirements and is reviewed by people who prepare these applications every day.

Human verification

AI is fast. People are accountable. Every document gets both.

Our AI does the first pass in seconds. Then a trained reviewer checks what software can't judge: context, consistency and intent. It's the difference between “a document was uploaded” and “this document will be accepted”.

What the AI checks

~0.8s per document
  • 01Document type and legibility
  • 02Names and dates match across every file
  • 03Issue dates inside validity windows
  • 04Apostille or legalization present
  • 05Sworn translation required or not
  • 06Income against the current threshold

Nothing is filed without human sign‑off.

What your reviewer checks

  • The employer letter says exactly what UGE needs to read
  • Contracts prove a working relationship of 3+ months
  • Income from Spanish clients stays under 20%
  • Edge cases: name changes, gaps, multiple clients
  • Family documents link every dependant correctly
  • A final audit of the full package before filing

Web and mobile

Your whole case, in your pocket

Track every document, deadline and decision from your phone or laptop. You'll always know what's missing, what's being reviewed and what has been filed, without chasing anyone by email.

  • Live status

Every document shows exactly where it stands: missing, AI-checked, in human review or passed.

  • One case, whole family

Each family member's documents are tracked separately and filed together.

  • Deadlines handled

Expiry windows, UGE's decision clock and your renewal date, all tracked for you.

Who it's for

Who Nomadoro is for, and what it changes for each of them

Nomadoro is built for people who earn from outside Spain and want to live there legally, alone or with family. Here is where each of them usually gets stuck, and how we get them through.

Remote employee01 / 05

You work for a company outside Spain

Your situation
Your employer has to confirm you can work remotely, your company must have existed for at least a year, and social security coverage has to be proven, which is where most employee applications get stuck.
How Nomadoro helps
Nomadoro gives your HR team one clear request with the exact wording UGE expects, checks your contract dates and tells you which social security route applies to you.

Best fit: Essentials if your HR is responsive. Premium if it isn't.

Freelancer02 / 05

You invoice clients in several countries

Your situation
You need contracts with each client, proof of steady income above the threshold, and no more than 20% of your work can come from Spanish clients.
How Nomadoro helps
AI totals your invoices by client and country and flags threshold risks. A reviewer checks that every client contract supports the story your numbers tell.

Best fit: Essentials for 1–3 clients, Premium for complex client mixes.

Founder03 / 05

You run your own company abroad

Your situation
You'll need company registration documents, proof the business is active, and a contract or letter that ties your remote role to it, all apostilled and translated.
How Nomadoro helps
We map your corporate documents to UGE's requirements. On Premium, a partner lawyer reviews your structure before filing so it holds up under scrutiny.

Best fit: Premium: legal oversight is worth it here.

Family04 / 05

You're moving with a partner or children

Your situation
Every family member needs their own documents, marriage and birth certificates need apostilles and translations, and the income threshold rises with each dependant.
How Nomadoro helps
One case covers everyone. Nomadoro calculates your family's threshold, tracks each person's documents separately, and files the applications together.

Best fit: Premium, with one case manager for the whole family.

Already in Spain05 / 05

You're in Spain and want to stay three years

Your situation
If you're legally in Spain, for example on a visa-free stay, you can apply to UGE from inside the country for a 3-year residence permit, but timing is everything.
How Nomadoro helps
We plan your submission around the days you have left, prepare everything in parallel and file electronically, so you can wait for the decision in Spain.

Best fit: Either plan. Start early.

What makes it different

How Nomadoro compares to doing it yourself or hiring a law firm

Nomadoro sits between the two: software gives you the speed and price of doing it yourself, and people give you the judgment and accountability of a firm.

Faster than DIY

No research rabbit holes. Your checklist exists in minutes, and every upload is checked in seconds.

Safer than DIY

A human expert reviews every document, so mismatches are caught by us and not by UGE.

Leaner than a firm

You pay for judgment where it matters, not for hours spent copying data into Spanish forms.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about the Spain Digital Nomad Visa and how Nomadoro works. Something else on your mind?

Ask us on a free call

What is Nomadoro?

Nomadoro is an AI-powered platform that prepares and files applications for Spain's Digital Nomad Visa and residence permit. Software builds your checklist and checks your documents, a human expert verifies every document, and we submit the application to Spain's UGE. Premium clients also get a dedicated case manager and legal oversight from partner immigration lawyers.

Is Nomadoro a law firm?

No. Nomadoro is an immigration preparation service operated by Wellrundigital LLC. We prepare, verify and file your application. On the Premium plan, complex cases are also reviewed by independent partner immigration lawyers in Spain.

Who qualifies for the Spain Digital Nomad Visa?

Non-EU citizens who work remotely for employers or clients outside Spain. In general you need a university degree or at least three years of professional experience, a working relationship of at least three months with your employer or clients, an employer company that has existed for at least a year, a clean criminal record for the last five years, and health insurance valid in Spain. Freelancers can earn up to 20% of their income from Spanish clients.

How much income do I need?

At least 200% of Spain's monthly minimum wage (SMI) for the main applicant. With the 2025 minimum wage that works out to about €2,763 a month. Add 75% of the minimum wage for the first family member and 25% for each additional one. The figure changes whenever the minimum wage does, and your Nomadoro checklist always uses the current number.

How long does the process take?

UGE has 20 working days to decide once your application is filed. If it doesn't respond in that time, the application is considered approved by positive administrative silence. Most of your time goes into collecting apostilles and translations, so Nomadoro schedules the slowest documents first.

What does the AI actually do, and what do humans do?

The AI builds your checklist, reads your uploads, extracts names and dates, cross-checks documents against each other and the rules, and flags problems in seconds. Human reviewers then check each document for context and intent, such as whether an employer letter says the right things or whether contracts prove the required working relationship. Nothing is filed without human sign-off.

What's the difference between Essentials and Premium?

With Essentials ($499) you prepare the documents yourself in the Nomadoro app, and we verify every one, prepare the fee form, file with UGE and monitor the decision. With Premium ($1,600) we prepare the whole application for you, fill out every form, pay the state fee on your behalf, give you a dedicated case manager and six consultations, and have partner lawyers review complex cases.

Can my family apply with me?

Yes. Your spouse or registered partner, your children and, in some cases, dependent parents can apply with you. Each family member needs their own documents, and the income requirement rises with each dependant. Nomadoro manages everyone in one case so the applications are filed together.

Do I need to be in Spain to apply?

No. You can apply for the visa at a Spanish consulate in your country of residence, or apply directly to UGE from inside Spain while you're there legally, for example during a visa-free stay. Applying from Spain gets you a 3-year residence permit straight away. We'll tell you which route fits your situation.

What happens if my application is refused?

Our human review exists to stop that from happening. If an application is refused because of an error on our side, such as wrong information about a requirement or a mistake in what we submitted, we resubmit it at our own expense.

Do I need to speak Spanish?

No. The Nomadoro app, your checklist and all of our communication are in English. We handle the Spanish forms and the communication with UGE.

Will I have to pay taxes in Spain?

Usually, yes. If you spend more than 183 days a year in Spain you generally become a Spanish tax resident. Digital nomads may be eligible for Spain's special tax regime for inbound workers, often called the Beckham Law. Nomadoro doesn't give tax advice, but Premium clients can be introduced to partner accountants.

Is my personal data safe?

Your documents are used only to prepare and file your application. We're contractually bound to strict confidentiality and never share your information without your consent.
